Important District Dates
- Requests that must be submitted by February 1
– Application for a sabbatical leave are due the February 1st preceding the school year for which the leave is desired.
- Requests that must be submitted by February 10
– Those interested in a shared-time teaching assignment should submit a written proposal to the building principal and administration by February 10th.
- Requests that must be submitted by March 1
– Members of the WLEA who would like to be considered for reassignment or transfer should do so before March 1st. Submit requests stating information regarding your preferred assignment for the coming school year.
– Members of the WLEA who are less than full time and wish to go to full time if vacancies are available, should do so by March 1st.
– Members of the WLEA who wish to REMAIN less than full-time should notify the district by March 1st.
– Members of the WLEA who wish to take a second year of unpaid child care leave should submit that request by March 1st.
– Those wishing to return from a leave of absence should submit their intent to return by March 1st.
- IF YOU SUBMIT YOUR NOTICE TO RETIRE PRIOR TO MARCH
– Written notice of retirement before March 1st of each year will receive an early notification incentive in the amount of $500.00
